This year’s conference promises to be one of the major events in Sydney for English language teaching and we are sure you will have many opportunities to network and participate in some great professional development. The program promises a diverse and innovative line of presenters, featuring multiple plenary speakers.
Our conference will open with Chris Riddell, Australia’s most sought-after futurist, and an award-winning, industry-recognised keynote speaker on digital. He is also a renowned strategist and global emerging trend spotter for businesses and leaders in today’s disrupted world. Our opening academic plenary is Linda Ray, a thought leader, speaker, entrepreneur and scientist of her own experience who will explore why you need to reclaim your brain in the digital revolution.
You will be entertained at our Gala Dinner on Thursday night with an ELT Trivia Quiz hosted by Jean Kittson, an actress, comedienne and writer in theatre, film, print, radio and television. Jean came to national attention on The Big Gig, followed by Let the Blood Run Free, Kittson Fahey and the Great Debate series, as well as Good News Week, The Glasshouse, Flat Chat, The Einstein Factor, Media Dimensions and Strictly Speaking.
Dr Kate Raynes-Goldie, who has been playfully preparing humans for the future since 2003 will open the second day of the conference exploring disrupting the disruption of education. She is a tech writer, researcher and mixed reality game designer.
